UNDERSTANDING THE NEED

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Turbiini’s broadcast faced poor visual design, inconsistent execution, unfocused topics, and minimal promotion, leading to low engagement and limited reach.

A comprehensive rebrand and strategic overhaul were needed to improve content and visibility.

QUESTIONS

  • How can we improve the visual identity to better capture and retain viewers?

  • How can we create a more consistent and relevant broadcasting schedule?

  • How can we promote the broadcasting to boost awareness and engagement?

DEFINE

IDENTIFYING USERS

For the research phase, we conducted extensive secondary research alongside online questionnaires via Turbiini's Instagram and paper surveys distributed to students. Additionally, we held two workshops with our client to gain a clear understanding of their expectations and goals.

This collaborative process helped us identify four distinct personas to guide the design towards the best possible outcome.

DESIGNING A SOLUTION

STRUCTURE

We wanted to dig deep into the Broadcastings concept so we conducted a lot of research, facilitated workshops, created personas and tied down the Broadcastings concept so our client also knew why we were making certain decisions and design choices.

RESEARCH & ANALYSIS FOR THE VISUALS

MATERIALIZE

THE VISUAL IDENTITY

For the event materials, broadcasting visuals, and final presentation, we followed the client's branding guidelines, which aligned with Turbiini’s previous projects and website. While we had creative freedom, we adhered to their visual identity.

With the analyzing and researching we did before, we decided to choose bright colors and a playful, fun style, which met the client’s expectations.

VISUALS

We were also tasked with creating visuals for broadcasting content, including thumbnails, and promotional materials for the promotional event (ads, posters, stickers).

The client wanted the designs to align with Turbiini's brand identity but gave us creative freedom.

Throughout the process, we regularly sought feedback to ensure our work was on track. In the end, the client was highly satisfied, and we successfully finalized the designs.

SUCCESS

We completed the project ahead of schedule and delivered it to the client on time.

The client was thrilled with the results and eager to implement our concept to boost broadcasting viewership.

The promotional event plan was also well-received, with the event scheduled for fall 2024 or spring 2025.

  • Our team was proud of the work, and the positive feedback from Turbiini’s staff and students reinforced the success.

  • The staff was especially motivated to adopt our visual design guidelines.
